Are you craving some fresh sashimi during your stay in Taipei? Well, look no further! I took public transportation (specifically the subway/train system because I don’t know the bus system very well) and it was a little bit of a journey (I got lost twice and had to ask for directions from a traffic officer), but it was worth the trip!

Addiction Aquatic Development has a small seafood supermarket and plenty of restaurant stalls for you to satisfy your seafood cravings! These stalls range from their sushi bar (which was the main attraction for me!) to an oyster bar, hotpot stall, to-go packaged sushi/sashimi, and a cooked seafood stall.

When you first enter, you’ll pass by these tanks of live fish/sea creatures.

Once you go up the small set of stairs, you’ll see the map and to the left is the supermarket!

I wandered around for a little bit to explore before heading over to the Sushi Bar. Pictured below are the packaged sushi/sashimi boxes that you can take to-go for a convenient snack.

Other food stalls are pictured below:

But last but not least, the SUSHI BAR, my entire reason for making the trip out to Addiction Aquatic Development. When you walk up, a host will lead you to your seat. I was there early and got to sit at the bar and watch the chefs (and drool over the huge chucks of salmon sashimi)! Seating is relatively limited, and on a first-come-first-serve basis. Inside AAD, only the HotPot and La Mer stalls allow reservations.

Here are some pictures of food that others ordered (since I was right in front of the chefs, I got to take some pictures once the dishes were completed) and the food that I ordered. I got one of the sashimi combos, along with some single orders of salmon sashimi, clams, and uni. (I. Love. Uni.) The seafood was amazingly fresh and absolutely mouth-watering. Each piece just melted in my mouth.

If I had more time in Taipei, I would’ve gone to check out their seafood bar for another meal. Their seafood bar opens at 10:30AM and closes at 12AM.
